          Think there are parts of Hackney that are absolute hipster central, with flats no one on here could afford - bar Smalls and his ā€œDina Carrollā€ trust fund.

          Then once you pay your Ā£750K for a shoebox, you walk round the corner and its something out of Top Boy.

            If ā€™ackney wasnā€™t bad enough before, this is what makes it even worse. Just because some plonker thinks itā€™s cool to pay Ā£5 for a bowl of cornflakes at some pop-up breakfast bar stuck in between a Morleyā€™s and a Chicken Cottage, thatā€™s not an improvement.

              IndustryStandard surely thatā€™s like lots of parts of London and other major cities in the world, they all have massively expensive and shit parts close to each other and crime can appear across them all in some capacity.

              For this there are parts of hackney that are generally very nice streets that look worth the Ā£2m each property, but v near council blocks that have gang issues.

                  RichM yeah though Hackney is still easily one of the worst places in London for it, along with the Peckham-Camberwell-Brixton axis.

                  A few of my old classmates from secondary school bought flats round Hackney; canā€™t say I envied them it.

                            hugopal itā€™s all based on personal opinion, part of mine is based on some people at my work (finance industry) who earn a fortune and have a family who live there and love it. There are some very trendy restaurants, bars and pubs in the area to back up the million Ā£+ properties there

                            But as per my previous post, it comes with lots of shit, such as yesterdayā€™s shootings, but Iā€™m sure thatā€™s not unique to London. Iā€™m guessing Berlin has trendy areas which are expensive but also edgy, a bit shit?
