Millsy I had a few builders in to quote some work recently. I always ask for examples of previous projects. I said I needed my back door adjusted and some piledriving (in preparation for fencingl and two of them gladly gave me the addresses of previous customers. The third, a burly bloke named Darren, simply opened the locket around his neck to reveal a photo of Ed.

Thank fuck for my father in law. A great guy who I get along with just fine, or as fine as you can get along with someone who knows you’re doing their daughter. Our street is going through sewer, grey water and drinking water pipe renovation, and the connections through the house need to be done again. Most are done by professionals paid for by the city, but there’s still been shitload to do in the house to do with that as well. I would have been hopeless at it.

Resurrecting this. Got a new flat roof today. They were doing next door so we asked them to quote ours. Massive team of them so they started on ours toot sweet. 78 square meter flat roof sorted.

Plus the spray foam out of the loft.

Definitely not DIY.

Not cheap though. Mind you the peace of mind from a proper roof is important.
