NasserAlazzawi I’ve had a few issues with 7. Failing to open and screen freezes.

My biggest issue is the media browser. It seems you can’t have your collection, playlists, related tracks.. etc all visible at the same time (as you can with 6). Makes adding files to playlists a bit of a fuck on.

      Matt ….yeah, this is a pain in the arse, end up dragging tracks from iTunes into the main window of RB, which is a clunky workaround compared to how it worked previously.

      Also, the playlist renumberimg function doesn’t work.

          Unbroken1 I’m going back to the latest version of 6 for a while, hopefully they will sort it out.

            Matt there’s a button above ‘collection’ which then opens up another window below - you can have collection there and browse playlists etc above. I prefer the new function

                Unbroken1 Playlist renumbering works fine my end - had to do it a couple of times the first time round though, but worked fine after that

                  Along_the_Wire …cheers will check that. Still having issues with the renumbering though, I like to be able to flip the list, ie. invert the order, then renumber the new configuration into ascending order, reversing the playlist numbering (if that makes sense!?). I can invert the order, but the option to renumber then disappears (for me anyway!).

                  NasserAlazzawi …they’ve always been notoriously poor/slow at implementing recommendations though, when you google an issue, 9 times out of 10 it links to loads of people querying the same thing with no resolution. Hoping AlphaTheta are significantly better than Pio in that respect.

                      NasserAlazzawi thanks mate ….I have a MacBook but it’s been banned by work for personal stuff….I think I just need to get another one ….RB won’t work in the same way on an iPad so OSX it is ….thanks for the tips

                            I’m hoping they fix

                            1. Menu flickering when selecting Rating / Tags
                            2. Previewing music stops when doing the above
                            3. Sound quality reduced if using bluetooth headphones instead of wired (during music prep at home)
                            4. Hot Cue automation seems too hit and miss

                            Unbroken1 FWIW I’ve just realised in 7 I seem to have to click on the Ordering tab (arrow thing) twice now instead of once to make it work.

                            So a playlist that was in order of

                            11

                            Because I had something else selected, doesn’t go back to 1234 until I tap that twice.

                            I thought of you when I noticed this because it may be linked. I’m now on 7.0.1 also.

                              Along_the_Wire Yeah, I’d seen that. I suppose it comes down to how you use Rekordbox. For me, I’d have to have 2 separate browser windows open to accomplish tasks I used to be able to do in one window.

                                Im going to have to download RB7 and get to grips with it for this party I have in July. Haven’t used it since my CDJ900 days . Im using an XDJ RZ for that party so I will probably just use the free version, export my tracks onto a HD/SD card and use without a laptop.

                                ….just had a putz around on my SC5000s and Tidal. Seem to work pretty well. Will now have to work out how to get some of my Apple Music playlists into Tidal and synced up. Sure there are some gaping disparities between the two services. I sense Tidal will be good for popular music, so I may just delve into their curated playlists and stream from those / export my Apple playlists via Engine onto a external drive……

                                Was so much easier just taking a couple of boxes of. tunes to a party!! If a tad heavier lifting ….

                                  If you are just burning sticks, whilst they fix some bugs in RB7 I’d just go with RB 6.8.5 as its very stable.

                                  Some people are hanging back on this for a few months anyway. RB6 and RB7 share the same database so you are at no loss.

                                  If anyone needs instructions on how to burn sticks suitable for Pioneer CDJs or XDJs because they’re used to other brands, you need to make playlists in rekordbox first - then I wrote instructions here.

                                  IndustryStandard I sense Tidal will be good for popular music

                                  Think it has the best spread of popular music and house music across all the services.

                                  Most of them have import/ export tools now. There are also loss online so should be pretty easy 👍
