    This would have been a very different moment if trump was facing forward as he shot - that wouldnā€™t have just nicked his ear and was at the right height for a head shot.

    It seems he was hit in the ear by debris, possibly from the teleprompter being hit, rather than a bullet itself which wouldā€™ve removed his ear from his head at that range.
