I’ve not seen the repeated use of text speak for a while on here

bosstrabs That’s one hell of a track listing. The Ryder in his pomp around this time period.

Amps Dave’s worst alias ever.

I don’t do aliases. Never have. They’re cretinous.

I’ve changed my mind about this one. It’s Flares.

    Millsy flounces

Should be a counter in a signature.

Millsy Fair enough, but never two usernames simultaneously.

    Dan
LT on his way back from the unit

Amps I think he was resident just as himself.

    I sit corrected.

    Decent track that 👍🏼

Mad_Cyril I wonder how much ‘Mav’ got for that percussion gig each week? Do you think any of the Cream clientele actually noticed it? Always struck me as an odd mention on a flyer.

gcw I don’t really remember the live percussion, but that’s probably because I was absolutely off my nut every time I went to Cream.

What’s really shocking, looking back, was the 9pm-3am times, I mean who wants to get on the dancefloor before 11 really?

Although I seem to remember Cream and Godskitchen went on till 4 (and occasionally 6/7) by the time I was going fairly regularly. More permissive licensing?

Yes, that was a weird little phase wasn’t it. I blame Shovell from M People.

Early 90’s was Sudha & Shovell if I remember right. Definitely remember them being there. They didn’t play constantly through the night, just kind of interjected every now and then.

Were dece, but not essential, very much an ‘of the time’ type thing.

Gutted I never made it to Cream. How big was the club in terms of physical size? Was the courtyard actually outside?

Would have loved to have gone to Cream in it’s pomp.

Not only would I have seen Oakey tear the Courtyard up I would have absolutely ledged it with me old mucka Dave too.

I remember UK Midlands often had someone banging away the bongos during the night. It was generally shit, and they would always carry on playing after the sound had been switched off and lights were on. That seemed to the their 2 mins of fame during the night as people carried on dancing to some bongos. Tbf it was also a good way to get people out the venue as it was horrific to listen to!
