Incorrect. I eat out well, frequently. At Michelin-starred Beijing (and, pre-pandemic, Hong Kong and Shanghai) establishments.

I think most people would choose death by scaphism than spend an evening having dinner with Hugo. I certainly would.

Along_the_Wire Grant I think you need to expand your repertoire of fantasy execution techniques beyond just scaphism tbh, you’re beginning to sound a bit repetitive and obsessed.

Your opinion doesn’t count for shit, Hugo. You boring fucking cunt.

The sea slug looks to die for to be fair Dave, can they do it ‘sans cheese’ as well?

Dave Chinese culinary creds are in tatters!

Heading to an SF classic for lunch. Tommy’s Joynt! Proper corned (salt) beef sandwich with jus and Coleman’s mustard. Mustard! And a lowly 5$!

It’s rubbish Edwand, that’s why he’s posted it.

      Natch

      Smallman1

It’s an SF institution. Been around for (by our standards) ages. For whatever reason, German-style hofbraus were a thing around here decades ago. Tommy’s Joynt is one of the last left. Quirky place with solid eats and beers for $3. Not the sort of thing one would eat every day but well worth a visit from time to time.

Closest thing I could find for a menu….

Doesn’t look the cleanest of environments though.

I’m guessing it’s a chipses butties for vegetarians?

Yeah it’s a bit of a hole in the wall with nothing for vegans that’s for sure. But I’m not picky about spotlessness. A colleague is the chief health inspector. He’s told me some of the “nicest” places have some of the worst standards when it comes to food safety so I’m not too fussed as long as the place passes their annual inspection. Now Chinatown on the otherhand….he’s told me horror stories.

I’d be all in for the pastrami, with mustard and cucumber if they had it.
