rhouses You’re making an awful comparison. Goat is adult meat and lamb is baby sheep. Kid goat would be the correct thing to compare to lamp. Mutton (as in sheep) is inedible versus lamb to me.

Goat is properly uncultured especially compared to lamb.
It’s a basic peasant food that belongs in the peasant food category. You can’t even elevate it, it’s just a crude flavour made edible with a multitude of spices. I had goat chops once in Spain on a BBQ and spat it out. Not only did it smell like rhouses socks it tasted like I imagine his smelly feet do.

Of all these shitty peasant foods I have tried (rabbit, goat, snake, bullfrog and so on…) only donkey meat is reasonably edible.

Along_the_Wire Goat in South East Asia is referred to as mutton. Whereas in the West, mutton is adult sheep and lamb is baby sheep. Not taking anything away from lamb, it’s a good red meat that is obviously quite tender if you get the preparation right. Some of the bits of rendered fat from yesterday’s Mother’s Day celebration, very nice also.

I just think goat/mutton is a tastier meat. But it’s easy to mess up preparation and end up with rubber.

Cankles-McJeggings The Kerala Stew recipe that I shared, which is mostly meant for mutton, is quite subtle. And honestly some of the best mutton biryanis in India will not blast your face with spice. A Nihari or a Paya also brings out the flavour brilliantly. We’ve moved away from beef mince, to mutton mince for our kheema dishes also, much much tastier.

If you haven’t sucked out the marrow of a fat massive goat bone from a delicious Nihari made from the hands of a Muslim who has just finished his evening prayers during Ramadan, have you even lived?

Serious question, Ed. How can I meet you to force feed you a pound of extra mature cheddar? Think foie gras but with fromage.

A really important detail too, in the overall review i found.

Right up there with ‘I got a cab home’ and ‘i forget to turn off the emersion’.

      Absolute dose.

What the fuck is a ‘Chinese-Korean’ tourist? There are actually only about 2 million Chinese-Koreans, a very small proportion of either China or the Koreas’ population, and the numbers who actually travel to the UK would be insignificant.

It’s like writing “this place is a hub for American-Canadian tourists”. Utterly bizarre.

FACTs are irrelevant here Dave, the more ‘exotic fusion’ the better.

It’s written specifically For The AO Of lifestyle tourist whoppers’ Attentions.

        It works perfectly
