zackster

The original is better than any of the “remakes” anyway.

If I can find an accapella of that…those daft lyrics would sound hilarious over the Lawler mix.

zackster good god is the Lawler mix a crime. Its like 30 minutes long.

LAWLER VERSION BEST VERSION. 90 MINS. DIGGY-DIGGY DIGGY-DIGGY DIGGY-DIGGY DO

alistair I once ended up in the booth at Cielo, kitchen sinking it with Nick Warren and Andy Horsfield. We were using spinning 1200s to blast lines off of. Anyways, there was bunch of Nina type eastern euro trash dudes constantly screaming for that tune. Due to Cielo’s setup it was super easy to annoy the fuck out of the Dj. After like the 15th time that one of them hung half way into the booth, bellowing “SPAAAAARRRRRCS!!!!” Andy singled for security and he had all 5 of them booted. Was awesome as they had been chanting that White Stripes baseline all night, and I fucking hate that shit.

zackster As I recall from that time, Nick needed little encouragement to play it.

Really liked futureshock at the time seen them in the red box , ended up having a few drinks with them after nice fellas, Phil was one of them, think I have ‘ the question’ signed somewhere

Futureshock had a great run there for a bit. Their mixes of Eddie Amador, Meeker, and “Moody” were in my box for ages. And while I’m not a fan of the song, they took “Pushin’ Too Hard” to another level.

Phantom Theory is a great album too.

Futureshock used to play Darren Emerson’s Underwater night at The End all the time.

      Proper smashed it every time.

      5-7am carnage, tremendous.

zackster their remix of Jumbo is one of my all time favorite tracks.

      Wonderful track.

Futureshock were immense, were unofficial quarterly residents at lush for a while. Big favs over here. That remix of critical phase phase one is a banger!

Was trying to remember the name of that track, Si. Love it

-si- Proper dancefloor monster that one.

          Absolute destruction that record, lads!

Lets not forget their Cowgirl remix too, sublime shiz.

That jumbo remix is an absolute pearler also…

sbando Jumbo is an incredible track anyway. Remixing it is just a case of not messing around much with the original

Looks at this strong hot considerate neighbor

            She’s nicked my boot cuts!

To give her her due, she does play off vinyl where she can (99% of DJs never do) making her train wrecking possibilities a lot higher. Couldn’t be mentioned in the same sentence as Helena Hauff, Lena Willikens, Jane Fitz etc though.

alistair Jane Fitz is London based, and plays quite a bit of electro, although she does mix it up pretty well and plays other stuff also. I have heard OF the other two, but haven’t heard their sets.

                LaFleur is often excellent.
