London will be a relative dead zone by that time. Absolutely pointless exercise. Would rather invest in Springfield’s monorail.

Millsy LOL, that’s one of my all-time favourite Simpsons episodes.
Millsy not sure about that. If London fails, I’d dread to think what the rest of the country will be like!
How rude!
ScottBailey fair point. Too much riding on our fair capital city I suppose. But the pandemic will mean an exodus of people demanding home working contracts given most operations have woken up to the fact you don’t need a massive real estate footprint in central London to keep in the butter.
Millsy already seeing it. It’s concerning how the powers that be are now scrambling to tell people to start going back to the office, even if it’s against their own advise. It’s a very different place to be compared to 6 months ago, but that being said, isn’t everywhere?!
Cunts at work refusing to come into the office because they’re scared but getting caught plum on social media pissing around in boozers
I think greater connectivity between rail and major airports will be a very big positive.
Currently, it’s a huge fucking ballache to get to Heathrow from the North West by train.

Along_the_Wire it’s strange because I’d take the commute now over 6 months ago any day of the week. Yeah, there’s many ignorant plebs (generally wearing Sports Direct tracksuits) on the trains refusing to wear facemasks, but compared to having some sweaty, middle aged man’s pit in your face at 6am, I’m quite comfortable with my commute now!
Along_the_Wire Its such a tough call for businesses. Surely most will be moving to hot desk type facilities with only the odd day in work anyway?
My brother polled his company, half wanted to come back half wanted to stay at home, with the end result being you have to be in for 2 days a week when required.
It appears to me that the lazy cunts pre-lockdown are the ones that don’t want to come into the office. I get this is a small sample size of my work, but it’s 100% correct.
Along_the_Wire An easy way for managers to decide who to thin out.

Hursty I’m obviously jealous of those who are able to work from home, but at the same time it’s probably a good time for companies to cut the wheat from the chaff. This day and age should serve as notice to work harder than ever imo. I’m not “proud” of it, but I even worked a couple of Sunday’s in my business to show willing. Some people’s work ethic has definitely been called into question recently.
What’s your point Smallman you absolute imbecile? My point is simply that I end up taking the shuttle when I’d rather take the train.
Cheers Dave.
Business class to London, train to Runcorn.
Living the dream.
