The left are utter bastards. We have close friends in Venezuela who’s children are literally starving to death. My only motivation for supporting the Tories is to help the people that have not been as lucky as I have in having a stable family with positive role models and a good education.

I have stated in the past that another motive is to pay less tax; this is not because an extra £100 a week would make any difference to my way of life, it’s because we already waste far far too much tax money that should be used for better purposes.

It has now been reported that Cummings not only “deposited his kids at their Grandparents” but he was also spotted enjoying what might be described as recreation in the north east of England. He will definitely be forced out for this and the left will celebrate a famous victory.

Whatever the rights or wrongs of what he did, he was a person who challenged the orthodoxy which is something I am strongly inclined to indulge because the current system is absolutely shite and far beneath what we should be aspiring to.

This one’s pretty simple and partisanship should go out the window. To be honest, your partisanship demeans you in this case.

No good leader would ever say, “who cares what it looks like”. He’s flouting rules that were drawn up by his team. He effectively operates as a member of the Cabinet and Cabinet is supposed to take collective responsibility. Now he fucks those rules off completely while the cabal in charge of the country expects everyone else to follow them. His haughty arrogance is breathtaking and he should go.

Homegrove I don’t really consider them to be socialist, more centre-left. I suppose it’s semantics really but to me they are still very much capitalist societies, although it’s admirable that they seems to have almost no homelessness as far as I can tell and a far greater community spirit than we do here (certainly in Norway and Denmark at least).

What people are rightly angry at is rules, advice, guidance however you want to spin it, issued by the government of which he is a leading advisor to were not followed as prescribed and, regardless of whether people didnt follow them 100% to a tee, it shows a contempt to those who did follow the rules/advice/guidance.

Plus, it mass hypocrisy when the person who raised the concerns that we needed to go in to lockdown gets asked to stand down for having a bird come to his house during said lockdown and the guy who travelled 260miles with the virus is defended to the hilt.

He’s hated by everyone because he’s a disrupter who is threatening the cozy status quo. He’s hated by the press, the civil service, Tory cabinet ministers, the peers and the opposition parties because he doesn’t play by the rules and protect the system that protects all their interests at the expense of the public’s interest.

Look, honestly, I am not a huge Dom Cummings fan (i realise it might not sound like that), he’s definitely dangerous in some ways and I probably disagree with as much of his thinking as I agree with it but i just feel we need a more innovative, mature, professional and effective political system which tries harder to avoid groupthink and the obsession with optics and point-scoring and focuses more on delivering better outcomes for those whose lives really depend on it.
