Good series but pretty tired of the, “we just beat ourselves” nonsense. Celts got worked by a better team. Not a lot better, but better. The Dubs defense was incredible. Celts couldn’t even dribble. Like, at all. Moment got too big for them, I think.
For sure the most enjoyable title since the first. This team was left for dead after KD left. And the KD years weren’t even that enjoyable as a fan of the team. First year was amazing just for the spectacle of it all, but I like watching Curry play as the #1 option. The last two KD years were tedious. Yeah, yeah, the won a lot. But I grew up with a team that fucking sucked most of the time. I’m okay with not winning if the team is fun.
But, yeah, fun run here. I know there are plenty of obnoxious fair-weather Dubs fans who can be over-the-top annoying, but wowsers the Celtics take it to another level. One dude at the bar last night, when it was in the bag, started screaming about the Patriots of all things. Had to be like, dude, you’re in Oakland. Trouble here isn’t hard to find. People will be chill if you are - unlike in Boston - but I don’t recommend poking the bear.
