Neither of us felt like watching a serious movie tonight, so went to the completely different direction. Beetlejuice (1988). I’m sure I’ve seen it before, but had no recollection of it. So much fun. Tim Burton’s filmed a sequel that’s coming out this summer, and Michael Keaton says he did it with puppets and practical effects, instead of CGI.

Mate recommended Hard Eight - very enjoyable film. Great turn from Gywneth Paltrow - fit as fuck in it an all. Samuel L Jackson does his thing. Seems much older than it is. 8/10

All of us Strangers - heard a lot of good things about it from friends so went into it with high expectations. Not always a good thing.

The first 30 mins were very slow and at one point was going to bin it, but then the story lines started coming out and by the end was both a sad, optimistic, thoughtful and poignant movie. I think a very broad section of society will get lots of different things from the film, and i’m still thinking about possible meanings today. Cast was superb too. 8.5/10

Ferrari was ok. A bit dull, but the race stuff was pretty exciting, and any scene with Penelope Cruz was magic. She was very good in this. The fake italian accent thing is fucking stupid though. If you’re going to have everyone speaking English instead of Italian have them talk normal.

Homegrove, someone who has been more than generous with his time looking after forums for years. I think he can decide himself on what to post.

Anyway, The Founder is another Michael Keaton film I’ve watched of late. Very good, light edutainment and an enjoyable easy watch.

Along_the_Wire I haven’t seen that one since I was in single digits age wise. Return to Oz I’ve been meaning to watch again ever since Disney+ came to Finland, because as a child it scarred me with the Wheelers and the lady who kept changing heads. I still can’t believe someone okeyd that as a children’s movie at Disney.
