Itâs okay. But doesnât touch the book so youâre not missing much. Felt like a, âwell, it won the Pulitzer so better do a film adaptationâ sort of thing. McCarthyâs books must be a nightmare to adapt anyway. So much dialogue is internal and overt narration rarely works. I guess thatâs why I respect âNo CountryâŚâ so much. They nailed a really tough book - not just the story, but the feel. You can tell what the characters are thinking when there are no words (or music, for that matter).
