Hey all, not sure if you’re aware but Phil K was diagnosed with cancer some time ago. There was a GoFundMe set up by his peers to help with the additional costs of his care.

Anyway, I’ve been informed by reliable people that he’s in a bad way and is on his last days. 🙁

So even if you’re not religious, I’m asking you lot to send some good energy his way, say a prayer for him, etc. The guy is a literal dance music legend and a class act to boot.

Also, fuck cancer!

According to another mate of mine who lives in Melbourne, Australia: "He has a morphine box by the side of his bed with no limit restrictions mate so he can have as much as need be as he needs it
I can assure you he isn’t reading cards and messages to him
He is past that point."

Fucking rips my heart out. I spoke to him a few months ago via video and he was doing well, in good spirits, etc. The prognosis at the time sounded positive. Apparently not long thereafter things took a turn for the worse.

Thanks for letting us know. Stumbled into a room of his at Gatecrasher NEC Birmingham 2003 and was blown away - I barely saw him after but that experience from him always had a special place in my heart.

The ultimate kick in the bollocks is because Melbourne is under such harsh lockdown restrictions, they’re only allowing 10 people at funerals. Just fucking awful considering he’s so well loved by so many.
