Probably my favourite of his remixes (and better than an excellent original) Arguably the best vocal trance record of all time. When that beat breaks over Jan’s great vocal at 6 mins 20, I’m flying
I do.
Not to be too cheesedick but I was a House head through and through when this came out. Remember listening to this EP and being blown away. The four tracks really are pretty damn unassailable. RIP Sasha. You had a good life.
jonattonyeah Agreed.
The EP is seminal. It will never be bettered.
Scorchio is was and always will be Sasha’s finest moment. Soy face all you want, but it’s the stone cold truth.

This part of Baja specifically always gets me, that key change:

Interesting fact. Scorchio had that whole plane thing on its release poster
Also…released on 9/11 (a year off but who’s counting).
Planes. 9/11. Et cetera.
I cannot find proof of this but I was sent, I swear it, a promotional poster with September 11 on the thing. They do exist.
Sasha created not only the most racist track ever (Xpander) but he also caused 9/11.
jonattonyeah you are absolutely correct. As a fan of the greatest Sasha record of all time I know this story well.
This is all disappointing.
Where are we on “Emerald”?

mono-stereo discovering that Scorchio was part of a CIA plot to force the west into war with Iraq is a bit heavy, but I try not to let it taint the song itself.
jonattonyeah ne3 was the first proper mix comp that i bought … space maneuvers and belfunk were my two favorites when i had no idea what i was listening to. the whole thing sounded like music from outer space to me at the time. i definitely miss that feeling of discovery.
Osasha bin man-like was indeed responsible for the levelling the twon towers…
