  • Wrecking Ball / Peak Time Power Prog - Best Example Needed

zackster that sounds absolutely mint!

Lasertag seems due a revival as a hip thing anyway, and I can imagine a rave in one being ace.

zackster None of the proggers would have touched those types of things with a 10 foot poll at the time

Shirley only Jon tea why eye would be eligible to vote?

NasserAlazzawi and i’ve fitted it into a prog set, so ner.

considering it’s 124 bpm deep house that’s not surprising, so ner?!

zackster I did love Kismet. The extra thick slabs of vinyl a lot of them came on also added to the experience.

I don’t think Nas has got the memo that this thread is for wrecking ball / peak time power prog, with allowance for the occasional ghetto-tech+donk crossover track.

Think it’s about time we create a whole new thread for helping @NasserAlazzawi understand what techno is 😅

    Here’s a sneak preview mate 😁

Thats the one. 12 × 2 with a Rob Rives mix

This was always a personal prog fav that never seemed to get much recognition

jonattonyeah “Love In Traffic” is also an awful, awful record.

There was a lot of dross with this sound, see Creamer and K, but I liked a lot of the moodier stuff for early doors warm ups; far more interesting than listening to Lawler play some fuckin bongo loop. Some of the stuff Deep Dish where playing at the time was boss. It aint wrecking ball, so shouldn’t be in here, but it has a place imo.

zackster He would throw all ages parties in Philly

I have a good friend from Baltimore and he would tell me of such things, much to my amusement. Back in 1995 they sounded quite quaint / odd. Think he was in Winks circle of friends before he moved over here.

      Amps
Agree. Moodier, dubby housey shit always boss early doors.

45 minute plodders a poor imitation

zackster Ed typing “play Creamer and K” into a text on his Nokia and holding it in front of Wink for 20 minutes.

“Bust out some Peace Division Josh”

Mad_Cyril I associate this track with powerful BANGERS. Thats it. It used to blow the fucking face off me.

Dance floor reaction to this surprised me (although was sped up to 124)
