Make sure you dress proper, I went for this number and was ready to cause a ruckus if they tried to give me any foreign muck

Under the knife on Saturday for an old war wound and have just been for a test / swab. She wasn’t exactly gentle with me but it was novel to leave the house 👍

good to know i’m not the only one who doesn’t understand the suspensions of the az vaccine. very few issues, not statistically significant as far as i can tell, and no direct link with the vaccine itself.

hopefully we get some clarity soon, but i wouldn’t be surprised to find pfizer behind some misinformation campaign to drive profits. was reading yesterday their execs are already discussing how to increase the price.

Nobody says- WE ALL NEED TO STOP DRIVING - after every road death. People accept there is a balance of risks and reward. Even if every pulmonary embolus was due to the vaccine it has still saved many more that those it has affected. And I suspect that what is being seen is the background incidence of PE. Sad as it is, people of all ages dies of pulmonary emboli all the time. Back of the envelope calculations suggest to me this is no worse than the background rate.

Totally agree Benzo. I mean it’s not like we sacrificed the livelihoods and educations of an entire generation whilst simultaneously saddling them with unprecedented levels of debt and causing irreversible damage to their mental health and social development by locking them up for 12 months and counting just because a few-thousand-more-than-normal eighty-somethings passed away with a respiratory disease now, is it?

** runs **

C_J it was an incredible national effort and sacrifice to keep hundreds of thousands of elderly gammons alive until next winter and I for one am deeply proud of it.

I think 17 deaths from PEs vs 150 000 deaths from covid is the point I am trying to make.

I’ve got an appointment for my first jab tomorrow. I’m super happy about it. I don’t care what anyone says. It’s peace of mind to me and it means that by early May, I can visit my family, who I haven’t seen in a year and a half. We get along in small doses 😂, so I’m looking forward to that.

Mad_Cyril I’ll tell you what is UTTERLY UNACCEPTABLE.

The grasping EU clowns slagging off our GREAT BRITISH vaccine and then threatening to block exports of theirs.

      FEWMIN.

I’m Alistair and I have no opinion on the above story except to say MAYBE YOU SHOULD READ UP ON IT and see how UNACCEPTABLE it is for yourself.

Mad_Cyril I don’t get this - a week ago the media was reporting big coming ramp up in vaccinations

benson 10,000 from Covid, 140,000 from old age and multiple underlying health conditions.

          Homegrove

As I’ve said before, I’ve got pulmonary fibrosis from the little bastard. That’s permanent lung damage. But who cares, right?

On a positive note, we’re seeing some people who have had long term issues from Covid improve substantially following vaccination.

Can’t believe she’s still in a job actually

That is VERY ACCEPTABLE. Appreciate the insight JTY
