I’ll be honest, I’m quite startled/scared about the long term effects of even a ‘mild’ dose. I don’t think it’s Guardian scaremongering at all - it’s worth knowing about.

Yeah, personally I would rather not catch it until there’s a) a vaccine or b) workable treatments that prevent me going on a ventilator and potentially dying and/or suffering long term health side effects.

Even the stories around vaccines is sounding pretty grim. Africans already complaining that they’re being targeted as guinea pigs by corporations who are absolutely milking all of this financially. Also hearing about young folk who are part of the testing process, injecting themselves with COVID to be guinea pigs for vaccines.

Along_the_Wire The article says it didn’t offer anything above what the Oxford Astra Zeneca scheme was doing for the UK, so what is the issue?

Along_the_Wire I’m guessing due to the amount of debt this country is getting into due to COVID it was a choice between pursuing the homegrown scheme which is world class, or pumping more money into another scheme which the country doesn’t have?
