LT42 Hursty I’d say the opposite is true, buffers for most. There’s always plenty of complaining in the chat during the stream also. Prob comes from Mixcloud, like there’s too much traffic on the server. Last night was his best in while, despite the odd buffer here and there.
Hursty LT42 Mixcloud need to have a word with their cloud service provider then, surely they aren’t hosting everything on prem .
Kumquat The stream isn’t rate-adaptive unlike all the other platforms to allow for glitches, bottlenecks or throttling etc. I really don’t see the point in serving up 1080/720p video of a pair of CDJ’s, the occasional pair of hands and some kids dancing in the background 480p is more than suffice. The chat functionality will definitely have an impact on the streaming too.
ScottBailey Kumquat I’d be the first person to vote for binning the chat function. It only attracts the bottom feeders.
