Pretty much exclusively Ableton. Iā€™ve been using it so long itā€™s second nature now. I started on Cubase though but found Ableton just so much more intuitive when I switched over (which if I remember was version 4!). I have an old version of reason but never really invested the time to learn the sequencer - itā€™s something Iā€™ve meant to do and as Iā€™ve said above Iā€™m planning to upgrade as it can now be used as a plugin. Am waiting for black Fridayā€¦

I should add that Iā€™ve been using Ableton to mostly DJ with since about version 5, until the last five or so years where Iā€™ve increasingly been producing in it as well. I still get better mixdowns out of Cubase though - which Iā€™ve used since 1994.

    I get better results. My mixdowns sound better. Low end sounds tighter. I donā€™t know why exactly it is, but Iā€™m not the only one who has this issue with Ableton. Apparently people have done audio engine comparisons and itā€™s supposedly the same as other DAWs in terms of quality, but Iā€™m not entirely convinced.

    That said, in terms of ease of creativity nothing comes close to Ableton that Iā€™ve encountered. The audio and routing capabilities are pretty phenomenal.

          loopdokter fair enough. iā€™ll be sticking with ableton as thereā€™s no way iā€™m learning another daw, but itā€™s good to know the differences.

                Unbroken1 yeah there are a few things iā€™m looking forward to. lanes for different takes is a great idea and i love all of the random functions, especially probabilities for velocity/pressure/etc. the suite upgrade is a bit cheaper than last time too.

                  ā€¦yeah, lanes, thatā€™s it. Fucking annoying you have to turn off automation view to see them, Iā€™ll never remember that in a million years!

                      Looks really good. Can use MPE with Push 2 which is a bonus. Hybrid Reverb and scale option for clips also big pluses that I can see myself using a fair bit.

                                Henry ah i see, i logged in and it shows the discount there. i was under the impression the discount was for people upgrading from 9.
