in that case, i’d go with either arturia’s pigments, uhe diva, or uhe repro.
pigments is the most versatile, has sampling & wavetable engines, endless modulation possibilities and decent built in fx and a sequencer. it’s probably got a steeper learning curve because of all the options, but it sounds amazing and you’ll find lots of tutorials on youtube.
either uhe option is good, with diva being the most “analog” virtual synth you’ll find and repro is basically a prophet clone, if that’s your thing. i don’t own repro, but i’ve almost bought it a couple of times, i’ve been using diva for 3 years. i can’t image there’s a sound you could think of that you couldn’t make with diva.
i’ll give honorable mentions to unfiltered audio’s lion and bx oberhausen. i use both of them and you can pick them up on sale at plugin alliance for $15-20, making them great 2nd options. and if you need something for acid, abl3 is the best you’ll find.
if you get to the point where you want really wild options for crazy sound design and less conventional workflows, i can give you a few options there too.
