Watched 3 today, not a patch on 1 or 2 imho, but still a bloody good movie

Stupendous cast did not save the first episode of Secret Invasion (thought Olivia Colman and Samuel L. Jackson’s verbal sparring scene was awesome, apparently they’re friends in real life and Colman has actually wanted a role in the MCU for some time, Jackson sorted it out). Might get better, but the hoped Andor of MCU it is not yet.

Watched Episode 1 of Invasion and it was like an upmarket version of Doctor Who. Can’t say I’ll be rushing back.

Like H said… Andor arguably the best thing Disney + have put out.

The Olivia Colman-scene in episode 2 of Invasion is the best thing ever.

A bunch of mid 40s dudes discussing Disney’s best work. Gas pipe stuff.

zackster I have a chat where a bunch of dads are discussing what Star Wars-legos they’re getting their kids so they can help build them. Nerds grew up, and unlike boomers who used to be hippies and started voting conservative we never grew up.

zackster Has your Mrs shut up shop then Zacko? Glad to see you’ve found another channel for your ‘urges’ 👍

One would imagine all that anger might make for some ‘entertaining’ boudoir escapades Zacko

All the nerds are going crazy on Facebook, but I’m not feeling Ahsoka at all. Neither is my nerd wife.

      Loki Series 2

I’ll never get the time back <<<

The Marvels is going to tank. My wife is a bigger MCU-fan than me (she had the idea during covid to watch EVERY MCU-movie in row), and even she’s like “let’s wait for it to drop to Disney+ in January.”

That said Loki is awesome, and Echo looks good too. It looks more like a Netflix-Marvel show then Disney judging by the trailer.

Dan Andor is the best original programming on Disney+ by a quite a large margin.

Nice ending to Loki S2 which I felt was weaker than S1. Dunno if it’s Marvel fatigue, that the main issue with the loom is too disconnected or there wasn’t much intrique to what’s going on, going on but it wrapped up really well - clearly Marvel had their A team on this one - and Disney seem fortunate to be in a place where they could pivot away from Jonathan Majors if they wanted to.
