…had the Phonons on the list for a while, waiting for mine to give up the ghost first, but they are proving annoyingly sturdy

They had some kickstarter for new headphones awhile ago I think. Ame or Dixon posted about it on their social media.

I love the sound of the 4400’s, best cans I’ve ever heard, but they seem really delicate structurally. If I ever play out again I’ll take either my old A&H or Audio Technica-headphones with me. Instead cramming the 300 € Phonons in my backback drunk as a skunk and breaking them.

Did a little test today on the new set up, and I just have to say that I can’t recommend the Adam T-series speakers enough for those with budget. Such a good sound.

    Gorgeous!!! Plus it looks like you don’t have to compete with the neighbours enjoyment of silence! I’ve been mixing with just my headphones recently to appease the neighbours!! :-(

        Grant any word when you’re getting the new Pioneer? I think you said July.

          My DDJ 400 landed yesterday.

          Ordered from recordcase.de a while back, maybe 6-8 weeks.

          They had on website not in stock until 15th July, and had moved previous estimate back from mid June, so was a nice surprise

            If you can’t drill a hole in the table and hide them all underneath, you can get creative with some cable ties, or, even better, if you wanna really raise your game, you can get the cables custom made to the individual correct lengths, plus get some custom colours at the same time, this I can assure you, looks sweet!

                if its the XDJ , there’s a delay - i’m waiting for mine - going to be a couple more weeks apparently.

                Homegrove They’ve started getting the XDJ-XZs in and are shipping in by order date, so should get mine by the end of the month latest, but probably in a week or two. It’s the hope that kills you.

                Looking forward to the missus flipping out when she sees the size of it compared to the RX2. I haven’t mentioned it.

                  Opinion on Sony MDR 7506-headphones? I just got the Phonons, but those are some fucking classic cans, and just saw them going for 99 € and really tempted to get them, just because I’ve seen so many pictures of Sasha rocking them in the 90s. 😂

                    Homegrove I’ve had them years well worth a ton, really comfortable and they are very tough, much more comfortable than the sliver sony ones, ear pads wear on them but are cheap to replace

                      Homegrove what Phonons did you get. been looking at the SMB-02 for a while but are a lot of cash

                        4400s. Sound is amazing, but the cable is annoying. It’s straight, and really thick, so it doesn’t bend that well, and is too rigid. But that’s not a real issue, more of an annoyance. Soundwise they’re the best cans I’ve heard.

                        Phonon’s got a new model coming out soon, so might want to wait for that.
