seanc80 nice one. In RB7 in the Preferences there’s a new layout - when you first go on there’s somewhere less obvious (look towards the top of each preference page) and you can eventually find a button to Link your XZ serial number to that computer.

Once you’ve done it you get full performance mode regardless of whether the XZ is plugged in.

The ‘Smart Cue’ function mentioned at 27:10 sounds pretty handy. Tbh it’s something I’m amazed doesn’t already exist with the 3000s as it seems such an obvious way of operating.

I’m having trouble transferring cue points from Mixed in Key to Rekordbox.

I follow this process for doing it: https://mixedinkey.com/rekordbox-cue-points/

The problem is that it seems to work intermittently. I export the cues from MIK to Rb and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Running MIK v10 and Rb v7.0.2

Am considering upgrading to MIK 11 Pro as I am coming to the conclusion that this is a MIK bug.

I can see it updates the XML file based on the timestamp of the metadata looks like it has updated. When I open the XML file, it hasn’t updated it according to the log.

I can transfer the tracks and sync still but the cue points don’t migrate over.

Any idea what I should do ?

Can live without cue points and the key detection discrepancies are overblown - unless Recordbox is particularly bad at that?

There’s nothing in the new decks that anybody needs just some nice to have features for certain DJs. The way I’ve seen you mix everything you and most of us need to do is on those decks.

Bigger screen is about the only thing worth talking about here.

They’ve basically nailed the CDJ these days, very little in the way of evolution needed. They’re just adding trinkets to it now.

Still not a lot wrong with the 1000s. Give it the 3000 screen and software and it’d be about perfect.
