Twitch stream is a bit boggy but liked that last acid track you played. Keep on with it, Nas!

hey mate, thanks for tuning in. Could you do me a favour and explain what happened at your end?

There were 270 viewers across the 2 hours BUT the reason I’m asking you specifically is that I did something different/risky tonight.

I slightly increased the quality of the video from 4mb/s to 5mb/s which looks better but risks (for me, as a streamer) that some viewers will get choppy/laggy experience because of where they are (slow internet in a village, walking around on varying 4G / 3G / 4G etc) - or who they’re sharing the internet in their house with.

So it sounds like a small jump but we are told to try and aim for 3.5mb/s to 4.5mb/s to ‘keep the most viewers’. Today was the first time I went a bit higher at 5. I don’t remember seeing people saying it was skipping but sometimes people would just quit and go do something else rather than just say.

There is an extra setting you can try (on anyone’s stream) if this happens and that is to hit the Settings cogwheel > Advanced > Low Latency Mode (TURN OFF). It gives you a few more seconds breathing space between you and the streamer and helps your broadband balance everything out.

There was just a lag between the video and the audio. No biggie as I was working and don’t need to see your mug or your pool 🙂. As I’ve said before, when I am working I often have loads of applications going so not surprised when I have issues. Pretty sure it’s on my end.

Mixing was on point, my man. Not a big PROG guy, despite posting here, but enjoyed the set and look forward to the next one.
