The food in Germany really wasnt for me. As Hugo said pork knuckle is fucking minging. Made me feel sick after I’d had it and one of the most unhealthy things I’ve ever eaten. The whole plate was just a giant mound of heavy fatty, carby slop. The sausages in Germany are shite compared to Brit sausages too, infact I’d go as far in saying the expat Australian reincarnations of them are better. Ultimately no one makes sausages like British ones though. Some of the Mick ones I’ve had pass but still not the same standard as what’s available in the supermarkets nowadays.
I like sauerkraut though, just never know what to actually have it with. Fascinating.
