segwin No belittling intended on my part. We’re just having a discussion. And his recent mixes are a sound he’s championed for years.

SM001 Mind sharing examples or specific tracks from earlier times that you would crate into his ‘eclectic/sound-scape’ category?

segwin I thought this was a very good set. I downloaded about six tracks from it which I have played loads. This is a pretty good example of what distinguishes him from Diggers.

segwin I wouldn’t call it ‘eclectic’ for starters. It’s straight up breaks or stuff you can find on his LUZoSCURA playlist on Spotify.

segwin Papua New Guinea probably a good example. He was one of the few who would drop breaks tracks intermittently to make his set different to all the others. ‘I Trance You’ probably another good example. Can’t think of many other DJ’s who championed Guerilla Records more than he did back in the day.
At least back then it was a mixture of stuff.

alistair Interesting, both sets that I listed trump the Orchard in my honest opinion.

@SM001 I am familiar with the LUZoSCURA playlist as I admin/mirror the Apple Music version of it. Interested in some of the breaks that Sasha would play out back in the 90s/2000s if you can share.

Rabbitweed? It’s only his song, after all. His remix of Gus Gus “Purple”?

There’s a LUZoSCURA compilation in the works, is that correct?

The orchard set was brilliant, imho.

segwin boiler room is a classic. One only has to go skin deep into a Sasha back catalogue convo before you conclude how good it is. Kleinenberg lol

alistair Agreed. Ugly Kid Jay - Major North Annihilate was thrown down at The Brooklyn Mirage about a year ago from today.

            EDIT: Place went completely berserk.
