  • Mainstream/Chart Music 1991-95

I was at high school, and everyone is partial to the era when they first started buying music, but in my view, the early 90s were a great era.

It was also the time when many people started getting MTV as part of BSkyB in the UK, and MTV was proper music videos all day every day, not shite like The Osbornes and Jackass.

Mr Wendal? Yes please 😁

I did just post Sugar ‘If I Cant Change Your Mind’, but thought it might not pass the Dave Strict Thread Title Instruction Test

I consider it one of the finest pop records ever and it did chart at 30. Does it count?

    Fuck it.

Acceptable I reckon because it did get heavy MTV rotation, even if it didn’t chart that highly. I definitely knew the song, even before I got into (Bob Mould’s previous band) Husker Du years later.

I’ll get pissed off when mongs start posting Drum Club tracks, which, although excellent, can fuck off to their own thread.

bosstrabs Took me a long time to get into Hüsker Dü - Cooper Blue kind of ruined it for me. Some album that.

It’s automatic, you just copy the link straight into your post.

Got a lot of time for the early dance / pop crossover stuff that was basically nicking everything from earlier New York and Chicago house. Lots of the slightly earlier Stock Aitken Waterman stuff did similar.
