Pilates may sound gay, but works wonders.

wrongun Also, beer, rice, potatoes as well, not good! Basically keto inspiried diet. @303abuser will have more solid info on this

Gotta love the evolution of the convos lol.

As has been mentioned, Turmeric is a good one. Can give heartburn though. A bit of ginger (which is also anti-inflammatory and helps with heartburn) should help to counteract that.

bosstrabs Millsy in shortly to recommend you use a Rangemaster.

Someone will suggest you accompany it with 5 different types of potatoes (with spring onion in the mash).

Needs a lengthy course of Disk 2 imo.

Read a thing this week about how mind bendingly deadly vegetable oil is. In terms of death rate / life span, having fast food that has been deep fried is the equivalent of smoking 20 fags.

But the important bit for you @-si- is the fact that veg oil is an inflammatory and will massively fuck over your joints. So switch to plain butter and swerve the fast food or anything else that will have been cooked in veg oil of any sort. Trickier than it sounds.

Regards the footy, I fair a lot better these days if I do a proper warm up and a bit of yoga… I’d want twenty minutes on the bike before I went for a run.

      Hursty Basically keto inspiried diet

Has defo helped me shift some timber of late.

      Hursty Basically keto inspiried diet.

Is also a fucker though as mixing the keto with the intermittent fasting means I don’t always have the energy for my gigantic brachioradialis work outs.

Amps swerve the fast food or anything else that will have been cooked in veg oil of any sort

        Not tricky at all.

I thought we were all middle class Guardian readers on here? I only cook using olive oil, butter, or groundnut oil (if I’m making Chinese - you can’t use olive oil for wok cooking unless you have Red Adair on hand to put your kitchen out).

Does anyone here seriously eat fast food more than about twice a week? I don’t.

Used to do the same with keto and fasting and definitely felt the energy was ‘missing’ in the gym. Tried getting in the gym earlier in the day to lessen the effect. I think I ended up trying to coordinate so I would have eaten on the workout day. Either way though, I found I would be either exhausted at the gym itself or later in the day (if I was fasting for the rest of the day). I reckon it was probably to with not taking in sufficient nutrients (setting myself up here) and should have taken some sort of supplement.

BlainSA Coffee and creatine lads. Or speed.

Too much coffee and I get a bit shaky when I’m lifting, creatine drinks make the keto / fasting almost impossible as they spike your insulin for days, and speed… the less said the better…

            Ax

whatever should have taken some sort of supplement.

The supplements are a bit of a mind field though, they can fuck up the other things you are trying for like keto or fasting. At the minute I’ve just taken it on the chin and accepted I won’t be doing any PBs in the near future.

              bosstrabs Not tricky at all.

Should have been more specific, with this bit: or anything else that will have been cooked in veg oil of any sort. Trickier than it sounds.

It’s in all sorts of stuff you would buy of the shelf at Waitrose or Booths. The new palm oil for us Grauniad readers!

Amps Haven’t done Keto, but creatine works fine for me with fasting. Speed is the obvious choice out of the three.

Trouble with your performance due to aging you say?
