-si- lots of good advice here with supplements and such, but i’ll toss my 2 cents in as i’ve gone through this and almost completely resolved my joint pain. 5 years ago, i couldn’t run on concrete my knees were so bad, plus some shoulder and thumb pain from work.
in order of most to least impact, here’s what i did.
keto. cutting out carbs and eating an anti-inflammatory diet is the single best change i made. that includes supplements like magnesium, potassium, omega 3s, and turmeric, among others.
cbd every day and full spectrum thc edibles 3-4 days a week. i can’t tell you how much edibles have lowered my joint inflammation. helps that it’s legal here and i have a ton of options, but it works.
insanity. hiit workouts, especially the lunges/squats keep everything strong so your knees do less work.
i broke my foot, which forced me to not play soccer or run for 6 months.
until covid decided to destroy my life, i was back to running up to 13 km on concrete with no residual knee pain and i’m in better shape than i’ve ever been. if you try one thing on this list, keto is it.
