303abuser yeah running helps me big time…. I’ve used it to get through very difficult times so I totally know what you mean… you’ll be through this soon enough 👍

wrongun yep I learnt via the headspace app - it has a really good tutorial. During my divorce my stress levels were so intense and my insomnia so bad that I was meditating 30-45 mins a day in 15 min blocks… if you stay disciplined and stick to it it, I think it works. It can be a month or two before you see good results though

Jules72 two months ago i could do 13 km in just under an hour. today, 2 km in 20 minutes followed by a one hour nap. 😅

The cure, lads. Less minerals, more cabbage (explains Si’s tip top shape).

Turbo cabbage soup no doubt means turbo toots. No bed sharing on that diet. Extra calories burned through regular super rippers.

      A lol for Jonatton.

I would be a terrific looking lass too.

303abuser Bugger I’m averaging 12 mins per km on my walks. lol. And quite happy with that too!

        Thank you Sir.
Thankfully I’m on the mend. The pain is receding on a daily basis.

rhouses haha keep at it. 10 years ago i was running 7 minute kms, by last fall i was down to 4:45, but i also work my ass off to keep fit. i was happy with my 5 km walk this morning, for perspective.

Dubman back pain is awful, especially with everything else on top of that. hope you’re doing better soon.

            303abuser
The back pain although bad was not a patch compared to the pain of Shingles.

Dubman i didn’t realize shingles were that bad, sorry to hear that.

Back pains are shite… my last one last a few months - was so difficult to shake off

On Magnesium Citrate I’ve been taking these:

              https://www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/solgar-magnesium-citrate-tablets-60001409?skuid=005646&utm_campaign=shopping&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-8rY2vP59QIV2OvtCh0kvADfEAQYASABEgKpBfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

The recommended dose is 2 × 200mg tablets per day (which is the RDA)… I found though I was feeling tired during the day, so moved down to one tablet (200mg) a day and feel much better, and am sleeping well… Pretty impressed - I’m sleeping 30-45 mins a night more on average, which makes a big difference. Still have the occasional blip if something stressful going on, but definitely a big improvement

magnesium is good stuff, glad it’s helping you sleep.

303abuser can’t do running anymore, a bit too paranoid about my knees. Badminton has been keeping my heart rate up, enjoying that. Nice calming 3km walk to cool down after.

Jules72 oh that great news brother, glad it’s working out. I tried two in a night one time as well, same thing happened. got quite wonky the next day. It wasn’t melatonin wonky but enough to just keep it at one a night. I’m almost done with the citrate versions, gonna try the ones 303 recommended next.

rhouses Get on the elliptical to save the joints. Also good for a house and techno rhythm

rhouses i hear you about the knees. you can always try running up a small hill too. sprint up, walk down, it’s way easier on the knees. i find stairs are easier on my knees too, so that might be an option.
