Firstly RA heavily tried to promote minimal (like if you not a minimal, then you get completely ignored). Then Innervisions probably paid them a lot to make their label a frontrunner, never thought their music was any better than making beatport top 100. Then it was tropical house for a little bit, you know where Peggy Gou and Palms Trax got promoted a lot, as well as Drumcode techno tends to become a new Tomorrowland for lazy fans that want their own stars but don’t wanna hear Big Room trash. Now RA trying to wear nerdy glasses and promote Hyperdub and pretencious chaotic echo sounds over random ambient (while also making it clear that their podcasts is 90% black women or transgenders). Forgot a small period of Durban sound movement for a couple years.
RA was a left wing liberal joke since 2008 they never really were a statement by themselves.
But RA was good at making a system with selling/buying tickets all over the world and helping clubs, I give them props where needed
RA are looking for a Dublin Manager. I might apply.
