Smallman1 nicksneddon One morning towards the end some dickhead tried to perform a handstand on one of the grills below the balcony and fell straight through Fucking lol!
mono-stereo nicksneddon Agreed, people can be snobby about the plumps but I had some cracking nights in fabric with them playing. This tune used to sound great in room 1
nicksneddon Absolutely – along with the Stantons they were just pure goodtime party clubbing. Which is what it should be about imo
jonattonyeah nicksneddon I remember your mix that won, I think, Mercury Server? Pretty breaks heavy and fucking excellent.
Smallman1 When I lived in Sydney in 2004, they absolutely loved the breaks, remember some Aussie Dj opening up with a breaks remix of AC/DC’s Thunderstruck, had the place going nanas.
jonattonyeah Smallman1 The Burning Man crowd were well into the breaks (Freq Nasty and the like) before moving onto Psy Trance and now that god awful ADID floating nonsense. At least when it was breaks heavy the fundraising parties were actually fun.
nicksneddon Thank you mate, yeah it was iirc - I’ve been trying to track it down if you come across it
bosstrabs I had a subscription to both Fabric and FabricLive up until number 34. Two overlooked early ones that are absolute bangers: Fabric 08 Radioactive Man (still probably my all time favourite of the series) and FabricLive 03 DJ Hype. Also good: Fabric 12 Amalgamation of Sounds.
nicksneddon bosstrabs Good shout on the Radioactive Man – I just went over to Discogs there and bought a copy, fuck knows what happened to my original one.
Homegrove Dan it’s -10 c outside. Also at least 3 out of my 4 choises went unchecked in the older thread.
