Yeh for sure . I’ve never been back to Mansfield but it’s now a car park. I went to see the hac when it got changed into flats and that was a bit weird, didn’t really bother me though. The worst for me was Shelley’s as its only 15 mins up the road and we went to see it not that long after it got levelled and developed. It’s so far removed from how it was you can’t actually tell or even imagine where it was at all. There’s a dual carriageway running through it, a supermarket and a carpark. Was a proper gut wrencher seeing that. Felt like a part of growing up had been taken. Someone posted a pic of Mansfield and that was pretty much the same story. Shelley’s was a shit hole full of rats to be fair but Mansfield was a pretty grandiose building and I think an historical theatre. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was listed.
