I use Proton VPN and like it. Not sure if that’s available in Europe though or not.

Do your research, some VPNs keep a log of all your activities and will happily flip it to the authorities / sell on the info to marketeers. Others don’t create such logs.

    Private internet access (PIA) doesn’t either.

    Proton VPN is quite good (as is their e-mail) but I canceled it after a while. Now I just use Brave’s browser in private mode going through Tor if I need to. Effing slow for porn though.

    It all depends on where the VPN provider is based when it comes to subpoena issues. Most based in western countries gladly hand over your browsing history to the feds if asked as they are required to by law, so you have to choose wisely.

    Most of the companies mentioned on here provide a good vpn service which will protect your comms however many will not hesitate to hand over your logs

    Most seem to charge these days but if theres a free one that does the trick …..?
