Brits: Oi wot doss a yank know about a proper roast?!

Also Brits: look at me loverly roast!

It’s my dogs barf mate. Posted as a joke.

it’s all about a good gravy with any roast. Lamb is my favourite. Beef comes in joint second place along with Pork. I’ve just put in the oven an organic free range chicken for dinner this evening. It will be cooked to perfection. just hope it tastes good.

Yeah, that’s a roast alright Zack.

      Bell.

Sean will look at that picture and will lament the mash to mince ratio.

      Only mash too?

      No chips, roast, baked, boiled?

      Sean will FEWMIN.

Smallman1 slaving over a hot stove to produce 16 different types of mash (his sweet potato, Spring onion and cumin mash is to die for btw) and only one gets eaten? Wouldn’t want to be around in that kitchen once the news reaches him. Smashed crockery, the air turned blue and I dare say the usual waterworks.

Does anyone honestly believe that Millsy has had a proper roast anytime past the 2010s? Carefully measured chia seeds, flax oil, with a handful of almonds and a glass of water at 5pm sharp so he can burn off most of the cals before bed; would bet the farm.

Roast lamb for me. I absolutely love Coleman’s English mustard with a roast dinner too…honey roasted veg with creamy mash and few duck fat roasties - all accompanied by a Merlot that’s cheeky but not too rude.

Have to say I do love a roast lamb.

            Yorkshires with it?

            You betcha.

It would seem the traditional roast is dead. What with Sean applying Coleman’s to every meat choice, not to mention the creamy mash, and Ed opting to pair Yorkshire’s with lamb. What exactly have we become?

vinnyt77 pork belly is hard to beat, and is the roast I must often cook at home. The alchemy of perfect pork belly crackling…

How do you do yours? Doing it Chinese style using bicarbonate of soda has made some fantastic roast pork belly for me.

Smallman1 haha, there’s a siren going off somewhere in his apt.
