Cankles-McJeggings I reckon he went there before a while ago too. He shaved it all off because there wasn’t any left then next thing he had almost a full Barnet.
bosstrabs 3 hours of Sasha is enough. He was always best when he was doing 3 hours with a couple of decent warm-ups like Bleasdale and Burridge somewhere like Cream. This is Bosstrabs, who hasn’t seen Sasha since 2005, signing out.
Cankles-McJeggings I agree. Most of his best sets are or were 2 to 3 hrs. Or 2 x C90’s as it was known 😆
Dan Cankles-McJeggings He changes his USB drives twice a year….same old sets. Too many decent fresh Jocks coming through nowadays.
Wally alistair Nah, not really. Turned up 20 mins late (or rather, got Steve Parry to play for a bit longer in the hopes it would fill up a bit), first 90 mins were good including a couple of bobby dazzler tunes but the last hour was anthem town - Aviator and such like - he ended the set with that Ladytron remix and that ambient vocal thing he ended his Glastonbury set with three. months. ago. Unbelievable.
RichM Cankles-McJeggings his Sunday afternoon sets at Fabric seem popular. Think he has to realise his “crowd” are now too old to go out all night now.
Cankles-McJeggings RichM Think he has to realise his “crowd” are now too old to go out all night now. They just need to take a couple of spare piss bags.
Phil-McRackin There’s a Rennaisance night here in Brum in a couple of weeks with Sasha, Maceo Plex and Dusky….3500 capacity…..unlikely I’ll be going but the Jeff Mills, Rodhed night got mysteriously cancelled last week.
Cankles-McJeggings Dan I can’t really speak for new djs because I dont air them enough. What I do know though is Sasha is playing boring as fuck uninspiring music that I don’t believe for a minute he likes. Been saying it for years too. His best sets are when you know he likes it. Like the first Luzo ones and the 6 mix. He’s not even playing the best that’s available of the genres he’s playing anymore. Something you could always bet your life on. I don’t listen to his sets but I’ll check the tracks out from tracklists to see. I honestly am struggling to remember the last track I pilfered from him.
gcw Cankles-McJeggings not disagreeing with your point , but why would he play music he doesn’t like? I know djs say they play ‘what they crowd want’ but I’ve never believed that
hugopal Cankles-McJeggings What I do know though is Sasha is playing boring as fuck uninspiring music that I don’t believe for a minute he likes. Been saying it for years too. His best sets are when you know he likes it. Like the first Luzo ones and the 6 mix. What mixes are these exactly: “the first Luzo ones and the 6 mix”? I’ve not heard any mixes from him that aren’t “boring as fuck” in over a decade.
Cankles-McJeggings gcw Coz he’s just going through the motions. Phoning it in as they say. Earning a living. Playing places he has no interest in and looking forward to the places he does, which lets face it doesn’t look often. That’s my belief anyway. The passion is dead. Each to their own what they see and believe, I’m all good with whatever. That’s just how I see it.
Hursty Last time I saw Sasha at MoS, he turned up unannounced at a Bedrock night and went B2B with Diggers. I guess that’s how he rolls, turns up when not expected and no show when expected
RichM Hursty I was at that. Had no idea sasha was there until I was on my way home and some mates were messaging me to say what had happened. I blame the meow meow shit that I ended up having that night! Barely remember any of it to be fair
benson Hursty I spoke to John that night (it wasn’t long after I pulled a benson in Beefa) and he said it would be really worth my while to actually stay that night. If you look carefully in the second video on this page you can even see me 🙂 https://dancingastronaut.com/2016/03/sasha-digweed-reunite-surpise-b2b-ministry-sound/ I think that was one of the last times I went out out
