      I think it would be more weird - it undermines the already questionable idea that Wales and others should have their own national teams if people aren’t that bothered by it.

      While if you alternatively consider him “foreign” for the purposes of football, then you might as well appoint any other foreign manager with more pedigree who you can get.

              Rodgers is a very good coach in this regard, he just seems to utterly fail when he has to sell key players and try to buy to replace them (see Suarez at Liverpool)
