303abuser Amps i’m worried i’m out-growing video games. i think the micro-transaction model is starting to get to me as much as anything else.
303abuser Amps that’s me, if given the choice between making music and playing video games, music tends to win. i’ve always enjoyed online too, but as the reflexes slow down, that’s not getting any easier either haha.
Along_the_Wire Amps Yeah, same this end. I’m getting really shit at MP and that used to be the really big draw for me. Getting into TLOU has been a real treat though.
Millsy Trouble is these massive games like rdr2, the witcher etc take fucking ages to get through. I’m definitely warming more to well polished 20 - 25 hour max games like Tomb Raider. Uncharted, tlou etc. But even they take yonks when snatching an hour here or there between nags.
Along_the_Wire Millsy Completely agree with that, Millsy. That was part of the appeal with MP, you could just pick it up and have a few games. RDR2 was just too big for me and there was too much riding about, I like things a little more linear. Having said that, I fucking love GTA
bosstrabs Millsy I have gone back to running N64 and MegaDrive games on Emulators, and Command and Conquer remakes, and having more fun than I have in recent memory with games.
Wally Millsy Top tip lads: use one of those ‘how long to complete a game’ sites and sort your play order by time taken. I usually do long->short->long->short to balance things out. Keeps things fresh. Tbh, I think there’s only a few mega epics these days. Love them. Nothing like a quality RPG with LOADS OF EXPLORING. 👍🏻😂
mono-stereo bosstrabs At least Yant’s trabs offer comedic value. This looks like something Amstrad would bang out.
Millsy Wally would be good if Rockstar followed this mantra with their games too mate. Would love you lot to release some shorter titles in amongst your massive epics. Variety is the spice of life, and judging by the 50 minute long end titles sequence on rdr2 its not like you’re short of people.
bosstrabs So what are the good games? Got GTA V, which I’m currently replaying, Rugby 22 (utter dogshit, not even many licensed teams) and I’m just downloading Far Cry 6 because it was £23 in the sale.
Along_the_Wire bosstrabs The Last of Us 1 & 2 - best games I’ve played for a long, long time. They’re releasing a new version of the first game made for the PS5 in early September, so worth waiting a short while. I’m gonna buy and replay it - they updated the shooting mechanics, which was probably the most mildly irritating part of the original.
vinnyt77 bosstrabs Horizon Forbidden West is brilliant. Great gameplay, visually stunning. Spiderman Miles Morales is worth checking out. Gran Turismo 7 if you like racing games… Returnal is bastard hard, but very good. I really enjoyed Deathloop.
