VR46 I think the general direction of cuntage has been UK to EU. 50% of our exports are to the EU despite this horrible mess.
Election 2024: The Fate of Democracy
VR46 we side with the US, and then ruin any future better relationship with the EU (which is suicide considering we do more business with them than anywhere else). And then Trump will dump us in a years time over something petty such as Starmer saying he doesn’t like Trumps hair.
Whilst Trump is there, we should be very careful how we deal with him.

bosstrabs We need to be striking deals with China too, they are the fastest growing economy by far they are the future. EU is dead, yes we do plenty of business with them and its important but no reason why we can’t have a bit of the pie with US and China going forward, labour want fresh new growth here’s the opportunity, esp when it comes to AI.
Just WAKE UP PEOPLE
Expect both Trump and Starmer will be seeking out the opinions of biz tranz legend Smallman1 at some stage.
One does what one can.
This is a sobering thread if true, how this Musk weirdo has been allowed near Govt should be investigated. The odious prick shouldn’t be anywhere near where adults are working.

LT42 I’m really surprised there isn’t more immediate concern over Musk and a few recent grads without security clearances being granted unmonitored access to the treasury and detailed personnel info. If you were planning a soft coup, this would be a great start.
And to add to the point about USAID funding, this looks to be a setup for a court challenge. If the Supreme Court decides that the president can override spending already approved or denied by congress, which isn’t out of the realm of possibility, that’s another nail in the coffin of American democracy.
At least Trump does his conning in plain sight unlike the Tories who take disingenuous deception to another level.
VR46 Where’s the conspiracy? 80% of the “value” was held by Trump and his family, the coin with no fundamentals was released, there were massive purchases within seconds of release, and he personally profited. Given the source of cash isn’t tracked and went to a sitting president directly. Do you see how that could be problematic?

303abuser I’m on about in general there is a lot of speculation.
The coin is still trading isn’t it, they didn’t just pump and dump and walkaway. You call a drop from 30 dollars to 18 in a few weeks a dump? When btc has been dropping.
Crypto is the wild west but it doesn’t look like he’s broke any laws, he has other companies trading on the market, weather it trump, Elon or any other politician they can choose to sell whenever they like. I’d rather politicans couldn’t play the markets but is what it is, they all have insider info and nothing ever gets done.
As smalls said at least he doesn’t hide his antics, he isn’t the first politician to make money out of his position look at sunak and Nancy pelosis ffs, she’s the greatest trader alive.
Such Karen’s on this thread how can you keep it up for 4 years.
VR46 weather it trump, Elon or any other politician they can choose to sell whenever they like
They actually can’t when it comes to regulated markets, there are divestiture laws that trump has continually skirted.
If you don’t see how having the president of the most powerful nation in the world compromised by untraceable foreign “donations” is a massive problem, I’m not really sure where to start.
303abuser full of crap Nancy sold many stocks at the top and many CEO’s and politicians have done the same, the stock market has pretend rules they are never enforced just as much of a casino as crypto if not worse in many cases.
Acting like politicians haven’t used their power to benefit themselves in past. Wtf.
