Along_the_Wire Sounds like the first wave of ravers. Maybe the kids are on to something.

mono-stereo nah, it’s now and again - birthdays, New Year’s Eve and all that shite
Both gigs went fine technically (not checked the recording for Sat yet). Friday played with an USB-stick on XDJ1000s, Saturday with my XDJ700s on a laptop with Rekordbox DJ. Both times with the version 7.0.
Lol!
Sounds horrific!
Mad_Cyril …just feels overkill for all tracks, in many cases you’ll be degrading a decent mastered file unnecessarily.
Personally only ever use it on older/ripped stuff to make it sound better alongside new music, or if PN flags levels as being particularly low… also find its useful for putting early renders of productions through so I can get a listenable version for the car/headphones.
ok stupid question - the fascists at work have banned me from using my work laptop to run Rekordbox which I use to make my playlists etc which I then export onto a USB which I then stick into the CDJ - easy. but can I do the same thing running RB on an iPad with a USB connector or do I need to get another effing laptop. ta b
Unbroken1 Agreed @Mad_Cyril I don’t use it at all but it’s designed to balance the odd track, not the entire collection
Not sure I’d detect whether or not a track needs it, so usually find easier to bung them through when I buy.
Premastering if you like?
Mad_Cyril I could be wrong here but if you’re using mixed in Key, rekordbox 5 onwards has an inbuilt way of doing this.
