So I’ve been meaning to post this track since I saw the thread but for shame I couldn’t remember who it was by. As luck would have it, I’ve just been repainting my decks unit so all my vinyl is out and I’m digging through.

Tops off

One that flew under the radar

seanc80 its a really decent remix of a played out track so mixed feelings all round.

Some corking tracks in this thread.

What surprises me most about this thread is
1) some people actually really like breaks, rather than merely tolerating it
2) there are some not bad breaks tracks that don’t sound exactly the same as each other

Cheers

bosstrabs Just like any other genre, loads of shite, maybe more than most genres. When it does hit the spot it’s sweet though. strokes beard knowingly

This didn’t get enough recognition after Digweed dropped it in a recent Bunker

Unbroken1 …at it’s best when cunningly weaved in and out of 4/4 IMO. Too much of any one thing becomes dull pretty rapidly

      Great shout.

That In The Turret track is class Mono.

Unbroken1 Totally. Best used as a tool to mix things up a bit. This current resurgence of bog standard prog fodder with a continual holden esque bassline and a breakbeat underneath is just as naff as it was first time around. It’s lazy.

        As in Anjunadeep and ADID?

SM001 I’m not really familiar with ADID. But yeah I find that Anjunadeep style prog boring.

SM001 Many of our dear resident DJs include it in their sets. The label reminds me how far Burridge has fallen from his Tyrant days

It has its place tbf, its afternoon music really. Music for people who bring the car and are just having a lucozade. It shouldn’t be considered anything more than that. I don’t mind an ADID set if I’m honest. Defo more than a Ajunadeep set.

This should probably be in here too.
