Mad_Cyril Race pacing is a really difficult thing to get right and at that level, it’s a knife’s edge. Every marginal detail matters and sometimes it just comes down to having the legs on the day or not. It’s one of the reasons I love racing so much, you really get to find out where you sit competitively.

alistair Was that the 400? Haven’t seen anything today, had to work unfortunately.

Cool, I’ll go back and watch the replays later.

303abuser always aim for a negative split - if you over cook it in the early stages, it can really bite you hard later. Don’t follow the early pace. Doesn’t suit everyone and is open to exploitation.

Skateboarding stuff has been decent throughout. Fair play to Andy Mac at 51. No Nugenix needed.

Amps one thing I’ve discovered is that the women are absolutely shit.

        • Amps replied to this.

Along_the_Wire Yeah my best 5-21k efforts have been negative splits. Psychologically it just feels easier when you’re passing people at the end instead of getting passed. I tend to aim for even splitting really long runs.

Along_the_Wire Compared to the male pros, maybe, but they’re also still better than about 99% of all other skateboarders out there.

It seems they’re now allowing Special Olympics constestants to compete in the regular Olympics:

Hugo have you heard of a concept called life?

BECAUSE YOU SHOULD ABSOLUTELY GET ONE IF YOU HAVEN’T.

Smallman1 listen Ed I know you’re offended ’cos I’m taking the mick out of someone who probably looks as much of a spacker as you when dancing, but no need to lash out!

KJT’s total score of 6844 would of been good enough for gold at Tokyo and Rio. Great effort.

mono-stereo Pity that in Thiam, she is up against the greatest Heptathlete of all time. KJT did so many PBs, she has to be pleased. See Ingebritsen got his redemption in the 5000m

Great last couple of days on the track. Canada surprising in the men’s 4×100 yesterday was fun to watch. The american womens sprinters are so much better than everyone else, absolutely crazy to watch.

Just waiting for David Guetta to stand up with lasers flying out of his dome whilst DJing

Just finished watching the women’s marathon. For Hassan to medal in the 5k, 10k, then win the marathon in a span of 6 days is an unbelievable accomplishment. That marathon course was difficult too.

Oh my word, though, look at Mike Stuchbery’s hideous face.

Like a potato with some pubes slapped on top, no wonder he’s far left.
