Got in about half 2. No drama on the door. Pretty quiet inside as guessing the Saturday night crowd has dissipated. Lovely to have space to dance when Dix came on. Still prefer he was in room 1 but I suppose everyone wants the ‘low Dj boiler room vibe’ these days. Pretty decent set. Few weird prog tunes in the middle but last hour n half was solid.
The whole club was packed by 7. I went to get a drink when Dixon finished and someone switched the Techno button on. All three rooms.
I’ve tried with Techno, I really have. I’m just not cool enough for those kids.
Anyway, great to stop in for the birthday. Super chuffed with an afternoon with Mr Berkhahn. Off to Spain next week to escape this fucking rain.
She’s hit the nail on the head tbf!
How do they know that everyone was living in the moment, do they have some special power?
Dry-Tinder phones away.

Then the so called ‘living in the moment’ is a bit like Alzheimer’s. You might be having a good time while you’re there, but you won’t remember any of it later. If you hear some snippets of tunes in the following weeks you can recall hearing it evokes a memory. If you hear a track at a gig and never hear it until a year later, you probably won’t remember it being played at an event that you originally went to.
Thanks DT!
deadhead To be fair, the last two times I’ve seen Craig Richards, he’s been sensational.

No problem Edwand, the second most boring people in clubland are people constantly whinging about mobile phones in clubs, the most boring, being you.
By boring I take it you mean charismatic beyond belief?!
deadhead You aren’t doing it right.
A LOL for me ole mucker DT

No, it’s not. \

Who cares? I would rather focus on enjoying myself then trying to record my night out.
With DT on this one. See no problem with filming bits of bobs per se - you can absolutely have a great time and do so if you are a grown adult.
Just like these guys
If someone wants to film a little in a club then why not? Its harmless if its a couple of mins for a big track etc.
Where it should be outlawed completely is when you’re at a gig and you can’t see the performer because all the idiots in front of you are blocking the view with their arms and screens. Its a fucking scourge that is. I’d be embarrassed to do that if there were people behind me. You wouldn’t stand and block the screen in the cinema.
Nobody is recreating early orbital rave / Cream / Hacienda / Orbit / Space vibes with their phone out.
