It was a bit of a mad competition, loads of players complaining about how tough the course was and lots of people like me complaining about the quality of the play… I’m not having it that it was tougher than some of the links courses here in blighty. Think the course got into their heads, and they’re all cry arses. It’s not the courses fault you’ve ballooned one into the trees down the left for the fifth hole straight.

Patrick Reed with that hole in one was a bit special. Was on top of the world one day and no where to be seen the next. Golf is a funny, challenging game. The leaderboard scores looks like a bloodbath.

                Amps Tried many a time at driving ranges, and recognised early enough I never had the chops to pursue it as a hobby.

                          I’m at North Berwick and Dunbar this weekend.

                          Developed shanks last weekend. Been too busy with work to practice since.

                          Supposed to be a bit of a special trip, now absolutely dreading it!

                                  Noticeable a decent number of people watching. Could just be staff / f&f of players, but not a great look.

                                    I like the fact the conditions are dffrerent. In fact, I’d like to see all the major’s dates mixed up every year.

                                      Kumquat the course looks pretty defenceless if you ask me - my idea of the Masters is when the greens are like glass - having said that I’m all for them playing the Open in January so long as they hit off mats to temporary greens!

                                          baggers44 A course devoid of any rough, wide as fuck fairways and not a pot hole bunker in sight. Bar the firmness of the greens in summer, it’s probably a doddle.
