It is Millsy. It’s also available on Hulu (free trial)

I would strongly advise you to not stream it and make the cinema trip. And don’t read anything about it before hand. Enjoy!!

Attica (2021). A documentary about the prison uprising in 1971 that ended in a bloodbath when the police took the prison back by force. It was good, but jesus it went graphic in the end.

I will be checking out Nightmare Alley based on CJ’s stellar review.

    Rocky 4

The greatest training montage of all time. The editing between Stallone’s and Lundgren’s regimes is basically genius. Also features some of the worst boxing choreography ever.

Four weird 80s robots out of five.

Amps It’s a toss up between Rocky and this (which is obviously taking the rise out of Rocky)

Batman 1989. This was this week’s movie in the Rewatchables, so thought I’d watch it before listening to the podcast. It had been a long time, and I had forgotten how cartoony and OTT it actually was. Nicholson is obviously great in it, but also really noticed how great the sets and miniatures used in the filming were. Tim Burton’s Gotham was truly gothic.

jonattonyeah It’s got to be in my top 10. Remember watching it the first time and thinking how the fuck they’re going to do the fight scenes because they’re puppets on strings and then seeing exactly what I imagined. Fucking brilliant film.

          Now suck my cock.

Amps All about Vince Di’cola’s ever increasing and building up montage music over hearts on fire. 👍🏻

          Homegrove

Yeah it’s almost a farce given where Batman has gone in subsequent films. But an absolute phenomenon when it came out. While I was quite young I remember it being everywhere.

Hannu, have you listened to The Big Picture movie drafts? They’re excellent. On The Ringer. Sean Fennessey know his stuff and Chris Ryan is always a great listen. Both are regulars on the Rewatchables.

jonattonyeah will keep in mind when I run out of podcasts to listen to.

Batman was the first movie I ever saw in a movie theatre BTW. I was eleven at the time, and so excited I thought I was going to puke.

The Big Chill. Never seen it before. Liked it. William Hurt was great in it, and boy did Meg Tilly look amazing. Reminded me of Beautiful Girls, which is sadly not streaming anywhere.

Justwatch.com informed me that I can rent it however, so that’s tomorrow night’s movie.

              Homegrove Beautiful Girls

The Willie/Marty thing is ehhhhhhhhhh rewatching that film a few years back.

I always thought it was meant to be that way. The way his friend reacts to it. As any sane person would.
