Homegrove Please tell me this wasn’t another of your ‘never seen before’ viewings?

Amps oh I’ve seen this before, but not in a long time, and not this copy of it. I bought it on Blu ray at least five years ago for 5 €, and just shelved it. Same with Full Metal Jacket. We might watch that tonight, wife wants to watch that too. I saw them both with bunch of other Kubrick-films in the 90s. Blu ray on a modern TV looks a bit different than VHS on a tube one.

    Dungeon share?

Homegrove I loved it when I watched in in the 80s - made the family watch it with me a few years ago - I’m not sure they’re forgiven me even now. It was awful.

I might give 2010 a rewatch. Always enjoyed the HAL 9000 stuff in that one. Slightly less arty farty then the first one as well.

Along_the_Wire That’s the game init. I know why I love it, but I can see all it’s flaws, and I wouldn’t make anyone else watch it. Cerebral, avant guard film making isn’t for everyone, even if it is a household name like Kubrick.

It’s an odd watch. Saw it a couple of years ago, (think I reviewed it here, but due to the search function being about as much use as a chocolate tea pot I can’t find it) but won’t be going back for another look. Roy Scheider has dolphins in his kitchen.

The substance - decent but kinda wish they’d stuck with barbed criticism of female beauty standards for the whole thing instead of descending into full on body horror for the last third. 7.5 spinal fluid containers / 10

Watched the Hateful 8 and despite having the heating on indoors it still makes you cold watching it.

Wally I enjoyed it, i actually thought the ending was purposefully over the top.

Along_the_Wire I didn’t hate it, but it’s my least favorite Tarantino. Too long. That said, funny coincidence I visited two used movie-stores today in the city center and bought it, just because I felt like I should give it another try. And it was the only Tarantino I did not own on Blu ray.

mono-stereo It goes all Hammer House of Horror.

Me Julie wants to go and watch the Bob Dylan film.

              I’ve said no.
