Have never had a coffee maker, but thinking it’s going to be what I get for my 40th birthday coming up. Thinking of going straight in for the Sage Barista Pro - anyone had one / used one. Would you say it’s much better than the Sage Barista Express?

mjh Ordered some Red Brick btw and using them at the mom….i like them… prefer the coffee compass beans but definitely up there

Cheers mate. Never thought I’d see the day when I browsed a coffee forum. How times change

Right - so after a few weeks of reading up on that forum (fuck me - it’s a right rabbit warren for everything coffee), I’ve taken the plunge. I’ve gone with the Sage Bambino Plus coffee machine, which I managed to get for £229 from Curry’s and the Sage Smart Grinder Pro for £200 from Lakeland. I’ve requested a price match for the grinder which was only £175 in Curry’s which, will take the total price for both to just under £400 which is fucking brilliant considering the Bambino is £400 on it’s own in some places.

I was looking at the Barista Express and the Pro which would have been £550 - £600 odd, but apparently the inbuilt grinders on those aren’t much cop. Looking forward to the grinder arriving and getting cracking. Will be giving those bourbon beans a go as my first bag.

    Life story

Rockstar sent everyone a hamper with loads of stuff in it to help with the virus - including a bag of Rave coffee. Was really nice so have ordered a few more bags of the stuff from their site.

Chucked the tassimo in the bin.

Rave coffee helps ward off coronavirus?

        Interesting, very interesting.

No idea Ed, I was more concerned with the feeling of mid life crisis when it occurred I’d changed from going to raves to drinking rave coffee. Something decidedly off about that. Need the virus to fuck right off asap so I can go see Diggers in September (if he hasn’t went postal and killed everyone at FB and mix cloud by then)

Old-Dutch doubt you’ll regret it Dutchy… takes a while to master though so stick with it… was prob a few months before I could make a decent latte though I didn’t have anyone showing me the ropes

The best thing about Waitrose is you don’t have to put up with any scruffs near you.

Waitrose is my local supermarket. It’s smashing tbf.
