…if its in decent nick go for it, it’s a nice mixer. Realise I didn’t mention the effects… they are immense, and quite complex, you can go quite deep layering them together and changing the parameters, I didn’t scratch the surface tbh (wasted on me as I don’t use ’em a lot anyway).

There are some years-old A&H videos on YouTube of some techno nutter demo-ing all the effects

…honestly can’t remember now mate, it was a while ago.

If you are dropping that kinda cash, why not go for a 96?

Matt they’re saying July. Now I’ve sorted the tempo settings, I’m well happy with the RX2. It was doing my head in previously. Still, excited about the XZ

Nice bit of kit but i’m after a change from Pioneer.

Essentially i just need you all to validate my impulse purchase here. 😄

Was thinking of buying a xone 23c for recording some vinyl mixes as I can’t connect my old numark mixer to my laptop. Is it a good mixer for the price as it’s a few years old now or what would be an alternative option.

Right then. Go for it definitely!!
I’m still learning and I probably have only just scratched the surface after a year, but then I only use it about ⅔ hours a week. And as I record every mix I tend not to fuck around too much with the fx. If you’re creatively minded I’m not sure there’s a better mixer available. You can basically create a new track with the fx by playing a track on loop through four channels and using a different effect on each channel-you can get lost doing this!!! Before you know it 20 minutes have passed!! Sounds ace at the time. Speaking of looping-I don’t use the onboard looper-not really a fan. It loops a section of the tune onboard but not from the actual player so once you’ve finished with it the actual tune playing is alot further along. A more proficient dj could probably work something out. Fx are immense-too many for me if I’m being honest. I only tend to use the delays and reverbs.Shitloads…infinite settings for each effect. It was a touch daunting to begin with but you soon get the hang of the basics. It’s a mixer that you’ll be learning new tricks with in years to come. For me the only drawback is the filters-you can’t ‘cue’ in headphones-so you can only apply when live. That’s the only drawback for me. Incredible mixer for creative dj’s and I’d strongly urge you to pull the trigger-1300 seems a bit steep though….

Thom_Fuckery Nice one. Sounds like it’s exactly what i’m after. £1300 was for a brand spanker btw, might wait and see if one comes up on fleabay.
