Smallman1 I think you’ll find the city with the most Michelin starred restaurants is London. Or the capital of the world as I like to call it.
bosstrabs Smallman1 I think you’ll find the city with the most Michelin starred restaurants is London. Or the capital of the world as I like to call it. Incorrect. It’s Tokyo (total number), Bray in Ireland (most Michelin Stars per capita)
hugopal bosstrabs ha, Tokyo is correct, but pretty sure you’ve got the second half of that wrong - there don’t appear to be any michelin stars in Bray, Ireland; surely you mean Bray, Berkshire?! (Bray might as well be a suburb of London though)
Along_the_Wire IndustryStandard Whole Foods isn’t comparable at all to Waitrose - Whole Foods is a massive fucking rip off.
IndustryStandard Along_the_Wire ….absolutely, but for someone from the UK its the only place that resembles a decent UK supermarket. Shame its double the price . Sainsbury’s own brand OJ is 85p……Whole Foods is $3……ridiculous
alistair The amount we spend on food/drink shopping for a family of four is eye watering, especially during lockdown. It is the single biggest cause of argument between my wife and I. Still what is saved on commuting..
Mad_Cyril We just eat crisps. A 12 bag multipack does the 3 of us for 4 square meals a day. £2.50 / multipack x 7 days = £17.50 / week. Plenty of variety available if you’re prepared to shop around and think outside the box.
-si- Mad_Cyril Lol, a couple of vegetarian days a week, cheese and onion, spring onion. A healthy fish day with the prawn cocktail. Roast chicken for the healthy white meat day and then go all out on a sunday with the roast beef dinner.
Along_the_Wire alistair You should turn the tables and do the shopping yourself and come back with some outrageously expensive booze and show her the error of her ways
alistair The missus was well happy this morning. Surprised her with tickets for two for Duran Duran and Nile Rodgers at Hyde Park in July.
